Emergency School Closure Plans

Below you will find speech/language activities to complete in the event of a school closure. Please find activities tailored to your specific goals in the sections below: preschool, articulation, language.

PRESCHOOL

Below you will find at home activities using common toys/items to promote preschool language skills in the events of a prolonged school closure. It is recommended to utilize these resource 1-2x/week for about 30 minutes.

ARTICULATION

Below you will find word lists and activities separated by speech sounds. Please practice the words in your target word list 1-2x/week. You can document your practice on the provided daily log, in your speech notebook, or on a separate piece of paper.

LANGUAGE

Below you will find language activities separated by skill level. It is recommended that grades k-1 utilize the "early language" activities, grade 2 can utilize both the "early language" and "older language" activities, and grades 3-5 can utilize the "older language" activities listed on each sheet for weeks 1-2.

Daily   Log

Below you will find a daily log to print and fill out for each day you practice your speech and/or language skills in the event of a school closure. Students who bring this sheet back upon school reopening will get extra speech dollars!
